Swan Lake makes beautiful music in an iPad book-app

We went to see Swan Lake at the ballet once. It was so beautiful, we almost wept at our previously-uncultured lives. Then we came home and ate some chips while watching Snog, Marry, Avoid?

Sorry, enough flippancy. But The Swan Lake on iPad is definitely a cut above our chips?n'TV combo. The app was developed by Publisto, which adapted the original story by German author Johann Karl August Mus?us, pairing it with?Tchaikovsky?s famous music.

The core story is complemented by activities including colouring, puzzles, memory cards and connect-the-dots. There?s also the option to record your own voice telling the story, and send Swan Lake e-postcards via Facebook, Twitter and email.

The Swan Lake costs ?1.99 and is iPad-only.?It looks like a must-download for lovers of ballet and classical music who want to see how their children find Swan Lake. With or without chips.
